Is Santa Claus delivering any watches this year?

Post by Thegreyman »

I just gave my son his first watch, a Seiko Sea Urchin Pepsi, as one of his presents for his 18th birthday last week. He's loving it and wearing it every day but I don't think he's ready to go into the multiple watch ownership club just yet.

I am looking at a possible major new incoming for my own Christmas present that my wife can gift me :)

I just wondered if anyone else on the forum is hoping to receive, or will be giving, any watch related presents this Christmas (we are well into December now so I think it's ok to mention the "C" word  )

No watches, but hopefully a strapcode oyster bracelet for my new Turtle.

Although the tracking currently shows it having left London on the day of purchase and moved to Hong Kong where it cleared UK customs... :-k

I’m getting the Formex Essence Chronometer launched on Kickstarter, scheduled for delivery this month.

I'm still thinking about whether Santa will bring me a watch, as I have a couple lined up for the New Year. He might end up just bringing me and Bergeon 6825 bracelet removal tool!

Obviously when it arrives, I’ll have to have a quick peek before it’s sent to Santa for wrapping :D

Bought 2 Seiko's recently so not sure at the moment. If we are out shopping and I see a real bargain I will be tempted, might also depend if CW have a sale on at some point.
I suspect unless I see something in the sales corner it will be a case of seeing something in a shop, being in the right place at the right time, rather than actively searching for anything in particular.

I have a birthday milestone next Summer so will definitely be buying something then, haven't a clue what though I keep saying I will get something from the Steinhart Premium range, but maybe the CW C65 GMT Pepsi.
Then again maybe neither and something else instead.

Nothing for me after the C65 GMT last month, but I have bought SWMBO a rose gold Fossil watch that she pointed out whilst shopping in the 'Diff.

Well, both a previously loved Seiko Credor GCBT 993 & an Oris 65 Bronze bezel(40mm) are in route, as I write this...thinking very strongly about a Grand Seiko GMT SBGM025 & a Junghans Meister chrono(blue dial) as well..need to send Santa an email pronto!..

I believe he may have sneaked a C60 Trident 316L Limited Edition Yellow into my wife’s wardrobe for her to present to me on the big day. He is obviously very wise because these watches are no longer available on the website!!

I'm hoping a (kickstarter) Valhalla of Norway Deep Fjord will be with me in time for Christmas, along with a Vratislavia Conceptum Arctowski. Both ordered some months back.

Then there is an Elliot Brown Halton ordered which also, hopefully, will be with me by Christmas.

Plus, when I can find time, there'll be some of my current collection appearing in the Sales Corner.
