Not really in line with my current tastes/needs but I must say this version looks pretty great, and a bargain compared to other competitors.

So they've produced a new 43.5mm C1 case to accomodate with a ~52mm lug-to-lug. Too large imo, but I very much like the overall design

In fairness re. size, that dial has a heck of a lot going on and may have proven difficult to cram into the 40.5mm.

Not my taste BUT an amazing price for a watch that does so much.
Think this will do very well.
Well done CW.

I think it's a great looking watch and welcome the move to a 12 hour primary display rather than the 24 hour on the UTC version that I could never quite see myself living with.

Those living in the southern hemisphere seem to have been jipped though - I wonder if a version will be released for them with the view from the south pole?

Speaking of the map, it is set at a rather odd angle - presumably to accommodate the logo, which, due to the busy dial works well on this occasion.

The transparent disc used for the time zones gives me pause though. I think Chris W said that it was made from plastic - I wonder how that will age, particularly in climates with high UV levels.

Some of that for sure, to fit the names the way they've chosen, but also likely due to the mechanics of the rotating disk and orange "radar" sector and how it interacts with the crown. Clever design.

I think it looks much better than the previous version.

At 43.5mm far too big for me, but I do like the look. Perhaps in no small part because subconsciously it reminds me of the watch that it would appear to have taken many design clues from (unique radar aside) and even that one is no shrinking violet at 41.6mm.

Good effort on CWs part.

There are pro's and cons to this watch. It's very clean, uncluttered, easy to read and you can actually tell the time with it - so many WT's are a cluttered mess.

But the map is shamefully scrunched up to accommodate the logo and I think that's a mistake. I live in Thailand and it just about scrapes in! Thais are fiercely patriotic, so that's 65m insulted! :D

But logo/map issue aside, I like it, but it's another near-miss for me. Pity.

Nice looking watch.

I've never had a Worldtimer, so not sure exactly how they work. I'm drinking my first coffee of the morning and trying to figure out the times illustrated by the watch in the picture. Here is my uninformed guess. Is it 10:08 pm wherever you are now according to the hands, because the hour hand is in the blue ring, but the hour hand is also pointing at Noumea, which is also 6pm (1800 hours). It is 11:00 pm in Los Angeles according to the blue ring, and why is Calgary emphasized with the orange radar thingy at midnight, or does the orange triangle mean you are currently over the middle of the USA on the map (Central Time Zone). Not trying to be funny, truly trying to figure it out and I have an early morning headache :)

I think CW would be well served by making a video explaining how it all works.

It seems like it would be a fun watch, once you have it figured out.

How is the map scrunched up to accommodate the logo?

Pulled this image off the Internet, they look pretty much the same to me.

If anything CW have done well to roll their image 'down' below the equator to show more of S. America, S. Africa and SE Asia than usual.

Forgive the ignorance of this question, but how exactly does this watch work? How does on use it exactly? I’ve even read the manual, and I’m just baffled. Clearly I’m missing something.

Help!

An impressive watch, but world timers have never really appealed to me. There is inevitably too much going on to my eyes. So it's not for me. But I hope it sells really well, particularly given the very keen price for such a complication.

How is the map scrunched up to accommodate the logo?

Maybe because the entire left third of the dial is given over to empty space?

Comprising the Pacific Ocean as it should be.

There is nothing 'scrunched' about it.
