^^^As Guy mentioned above, it is something we can probably discuss in the relatively near future.

The half minute which we daily devote to the winding-up of our watches is an exertion of labour almost insensible; yet, by the aid of a few wheels, its effect is spread over the whole twenty-four hours.

In the advanced search dialogue you can use the + and - symbols in front of keywords to search based on keywords that must or must not be included in the search results.

This is an example (note: also selected first post of topics only in search options to further limit results to original first post in forum topic).

This is a great tip, I’ll give it a try!

Discussion above has been noted.

Following the recent forum software upgrade it may well be possible to create a sub-forum of SOLD listings, which FS posts can be moved to once a watch is sold; thus leaving a 'clean' list (subject to OPs updating their listings when a watch is sold) of available For Sale watches.

This will be investigated.

Guy - The Admin Team
Having looked into this subject the Admin Team has concluded that it is not feasible to create a sub-forum of SOLD listings and the current system will remain.

However, to ensure the smooth running of the Sales Corner there are a couple of points to emphasise, mostly for the action of the seller creating a post;-

1. When listing an item For Sale please include 'For Sale' or 'FS' in the title. This will assist buyer to search for available items.

2. When a sale has been agreed change the For Sale or FS to 'OHPF' (on hold pending funds).

3. Once the sale has been completed change the title to read 'SOLD', or 'Withdrawn' as appropriate.

4. For as long as an item is For Sale it is worth bumping it to the top of the page of listing, say, once per week or 10 days as you feel appropriate.

Finally, may I use this post to remind all forum members that a For Sale thread is not an invitation to start a general discussion or wish the seller 'good luck'. Forum rule state;-

To members: Remember this is a sales post and not a discussion thread. Offers and/or negotiations should be handled via pm's. General comments will be deleted. Please handle offers/negotiations via pm or email.

Post made in contravention of this guideline will be deleted, with or without the courtesy of a PM to the poster.
