Mine says "With Delivery Courier" so it got from the UK to the US, through customs and on to a truck in four days (it was collected by DHL on 04/10/18). I had to pay duty on it which was a total of 85.04 USD. Of this 85 dollars only 45 USD was actually duty and the rest was DHL handling fees. Not bad at all.

Number 15 has landed :D
When I got home there was a lovely box on the doorstep with a C7 Apex inside. And I got home before the wife with lots of time to hide the evidence. I don't have the time to get out the camera and take some proper photos and I'm off on a business trip tomorrow but here are some thought:
Lovely winding action but oh boy does it take a lot of turns to get to the full five days. When I feel resistance to further winding the power reserve says 4.5 days. Did I mention it takes a lot of winds to get to that point? Well it does but that's what you get for a five day power reserve.

The numbers on the power reserve indicator are small and seem to be a slightly darker red than the power reserve indicator and the red bridge itself. Mind you the red pieces all seem to be a darker red than in the website images although this could be due to poor lighting in the house.
The dial has a great 3-D look with all of the elements coming together to make something that manages to be both stylish and modern. It would have been easy to go too far with the dial but I think CW nailed it. The view through the case back is also very mechanical. Not quite steampunk but enough to make me go into nerd-lock for a while....

On the supplied strap the watch is very light. My kitchen scale says it is 81g in total. The engraving on the back is crisp but small since the clear case back takes up a lot of the available space. The DLC coating is smooth with just a hint of texture.

The strap is a bit stiff but no doubt would soften up with use. The lining is a red leather which, again, is much darker than the website renders. It has quick release pins which I hadn't noticed before. The buckle is black with Christopher Ward engraved on it in the modern style. I would have preferred a more supple strap with stitching that matched the red elements of the dial. The original strap will go in the box (mostly) unworn and a Hirsch Robby or even a Geckota Jonathan will do well as a replacement.

All in all this is a great watch. The detailing makes the watch and the detailing is superb. I haven't tried the lume yet but we all know that isn't a CW strength. It doesn't matter in this case. I don't think this is an everyday watch; certainly not for me. But, I can guarantee it will attract attention every time it's worn. It would be an ideal watch to wear whilst dating supermodels. I'm going to have to find other occasions but if this represents the current best of CW then it's worth every penny.

I'm off a on a business trip for the rest of the week but I got the phone out to take some quick pictures this morning. That's my excuse if these aren't great quality images. The watch however remains great.

Currently mine isn't COSC though. Seems to average +9 seconds per day. Some regulation is in order at some point.

Mine was COSC during the first 2 days (-0.5 sec), and a drift of + 10 sec after 5 days. Now, after running-in period, I will check the drift but it is now - 1 sec after 3 days (winter time tuned with a "reserve de marche" of 2 days. Quite good...

Mine has drifted to +8 seconds per day. The second hand also jumps when adjusting the time. Sadly a trip back to CW for mine I fear.

The jumping of the second hand when adjusting the time is normal with SH21.

The C7 Apex is my first hand wound SH21 so I don't have another exact movement to compare it to. My automatic SH21 does not jump in this manner. Either way being out of COSC limits for a COSC certified watch is sufficient for a return visit to CW especially as I have a trip to the showroom booked in the near future and can just "drop it in".
Declan, you've been warned.

I get the jumping second hand on my C9 5 Day when it's low in power, a few winds later and this doesn't happen.
