As with all the scrap metal special watches, they aren't aimed at watch enthusiasts like us. Hence why we scratch our heads about them. They are aimed at the enthusiasts for the car in question. These guys/girls may not know much about watches, but they may be very taken with a high quality watch that is clearly inspired by and connected with their beloved car.

^^^ This. If you don't get the TMB special editions, it just means you're not the target market. Usually, those few that want them; want them really seriously. There are very few opportunities for them to buy connected memorabilia.
There's always time for one more.

Agree with both the last two posts, however that's not going to stop me commenting on what a horrendous mess it looks as an actual watch.

I think everyone is aware that the targeted audience will not be buying this watch for it's aesthetic qualities, which is just as well.

My main problem with this faithful speedo recreation is telling the time on it. The minute hand is ok, but the hour hand looks like it should be a GMT hand, the seconds hand is enormous and then there's the red line that draws the eye. Hopefully the wealthy purchasers also have a health tracker on the other wrist for time telling duties :)

Also had the email - supply chain savings nonsense.
Unloved and still overpriced I'm afraid.

I seem to recall receiving an almost identically worded email last year for the C7 Rapide Chronograph Auto.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

The email read as if we were getting first dibs but it is on the website at £1995 and will be reduced by the latest £100 voucher as well.

Whilst not for me I am pleased to see that previous purchasers are being contacted and will be refunded the price difference.

It's good to see an acknowledgement that CW got the price wrong on this one.
