The "I've never seen a stranger wearing a CW" thread

Post by Pipesmoker »

Judging by the "Have you ever seen a stranger wearing a CW" thread, this should be a busy subject

Count me in, but do I need to delete my post in the unlikely event that I see another one in Australia?

Good call Andy. But as OP, I think you really need to set out guidelines on what is allowed as a response, to make it easier for the mods to tidy up the thread, if anyone posts contrary to the subject matter.

I saw someone wearing a C11 a few years ago. :)

Ok, you can only post if you have never have seen a stranger (in real life, not a photo) wearing a CW, now, considering a stranger is someone you don't know, you cant have had a conversation with them about anything, including watches, CW or otherwise, or they then count as someone you know, rather than a stranger

I'm down the road in Stafford, but apart from going to work, I don't get out much, and now we have had a conversation, we don't count as strangers anyway, so if we did meet, we couldn't post in this thread

The only people I have seen wearing one were Forum members and CW employees/directors whom I was in the process of meeting at CWT, GTG or SQP, by prior arrangement bla-bla-bla.

So I have never seen a stranger, in the sense of the terms stated above by the OP, to the very best of my knowledge and notwithstanding the possibility of accidental oversight, wearing or alleged to have been wearing a Christopher Ward watch.

Phew...glad we got THAT out of the way! :D

Only if you see one on a stranger during a trip back in time, but then I suppose you never would have posted in the thread in the first place if you had, this may be proof that time travel does not exist!

Forgive me everyone, I'm in a silly mood this morning, and posting on the forum does make it sound like I am busy sending emails

I walked past a man (total stranger), at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, a few years ago who, I'm sure, was wearing a C8 MKII cream dial.

We did not stop and have a discussion.

Therefore, I'm out.

There, said it.

I can attest on my unabridged version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes (including drawings from Sidney Paget) that I have never seen a stranger wearing a Christopher Ward watch.

I have however been in the company of strange men who were wearing Christopher Ward watches.
