I'm hoping to write one tomorrow and submit it later that day or Sunday.

Re: Anyone working on a contest review?
I would, but apparently having an amateur watch blog means I'd violate Rule #4. I'm not sure why having a site that allows one to share their hobby (especially with no monetary incentive) should preclude one from participating in this activity. I'd understand if it was one's job or source of income, but c'mon, really? There are plenty of chaps here that know just as much or more and who's contributions to this forum comprise a substantial "blog."

An observation rather than a moan!
The list of nine things that should be included (what we are looking for) might lead to a number of formulaic and, as a consequence, similar entries.
Any room for a different approach?

Re: Anyone working on a contest review?
Having had a look at the nine points, my take is these will be personal perspectives (which I think is what the competition is about), which is likely to mean that different folk come up with a different slant, even if “reviewing” the same watch, due to different ownership experiences and style of writing etc..Martin wrote:An observation rather than a moan!

The nine point “steer” will hopefully avoid people submitting a review that is little more than a factual bit about the detail of the watch.

Re: Anyone working on a contest review?
^^^ I think that is right, Neil. We didn’t want to be too prescriptive and we are hoping to bring out the essence of “ownership”, rather than a “top trumps” list of facts.
Hopefully, there is plenty of freedom within the guidelines we outlined.

Hmmm. Tricky one. I haven't got a CW watch at the mo, but I do really want one. Which model to go for, though? Veeerrry tricky. Decisions, decisions. I'll have to pop a WTB on.

Re: Anyone working on a contest review?
I was debating on whether or not to post a review, so now I have a great reason to.
