With everyone talking about a nice set, this particular photo made me think of the bar scene on Mars in the film Total Recall (either version). I won't post a link but those who know the movie(s), or are intrepid enough with Google, will easily get my thinking...

I think Mary is her name.

Sorry in advance for lowering the tone...

That image raised a titter or two, or three.

Tick tack toe...

Burnt Orange

Burnt Orange is on the left of second row with Tangerine next to it.

Best way to describe it is the Tangerine is a flat colour whereas the Burnt Orange has reflective galvanic dial.

Both C6s have the sunray galvanic dial... the C60 is a matte finish, but the C6s are galvanic, along the lines of the yellow C6 and the later galvanic dials introduced into the C3 & C5 MkII dials (where they made a point in their adverting that they were using galvanic dials).

Consider myself completely confused now
Definitely a galvanic dial there, does seem though to be Tangerine Orange and not Burnt Orange.
I didn't know there were Galvanic Tangerine dials, maybe that's the difference in the different script colours too, one is Galvanic and one isn't perhaps ?

Comparison shots...

Looking closely at the two, the sunray effect on the black text model is more obvious and pronounced and the black text one compared to the white. There is a clearer or harder "edging" effect on the rays of the black, vs a somewhat "muddied" look to the sunrays on the white. The white text one has the same sunray effect as the blue, yellow and white, whereas the black text one is more vibrant with its effects, but it's not like night and day, it's more subtle than that.

To the naked eye, the colour on the black one is more like the burnt orange photos I see, orange with a faint hint of yellow-brown among it, the white is a purer orange colour.

Ignore the colours in this shot, it's early morning light, making them both much more vibrant and red than they are in real life, but it shows the difference in the sunray effect on the two dials.

I like the C6 design very much. Original bezel and overall just cool.

The postie has been kind to me, I had a few arrivals waiting for me. Two are orange. First up is a tangerine C6 (thanks Patrick!), which is now keeping company with an Orange Crish C60. They both go nicely with the other orange one I already have.

Greetings,

Thanks for posting the photos of the Orange Crush along with the C6, very interesting.

I think it stands up very well with a slightly crisper look probably due to a combination of the matte and the bezel, very nice.

My C6 is with white text so I assume it is tangerine, or is it?

I'm also confused.

I'm tempted by the Crush, especially with a voucher sitting in my inbox, maybe something will have to go.
