Ooh I like that, it suddenly looks proper 'vintage' to me. AND it's DLC not PVD which is a nice bonus. However, the hands are so dull, so 'vanilla', no imagination.

So it's a double-edged sword IMO.

Agreed. I am really trying not to stare at this combo too much for fear of wallet shrinkage

Not sure why it would look girly? The dial on a C65 vintage is larger than that on a 5513...... :)

Neil
The 5513 looked small on me...but not girly. Probably used the wrong adjective, because the C65 is anything but girly. But 38mm does not occupy much real estate on an 22cm wrist. 8)

For anyone who wants a "black" watch, a DLC finish is clearly the way to go. I would still probably opt for a steel finish because there is always the option to totally "upgrade" the look with a new strap later on, especially as bracelets/straps can be considered serviceable items.

I actually think it looks pretty good, but DLC or otherwise black-cased watches aren't my thing.

A year after the C65 mk2 and this is it? I would have hoped for a 38mm version of the non-vintage C65 by now - that's what was clearly, sorely lacking. A blue dial option would have been nice, too. Instead, we get this. Nice, but, eh.

Would that be a C65 vintage without the faux old lume?
I would be in for that.
(Moving the logo would help, but hey ho, getting used to it)

Exactly. The vintage also has a brushed case instead of polished, and the domed crystal, both of which I could go either way on.

I would prefer the logo at 12:00 as well, but CW are sticking their guns on that one.

I like the hands . I wonder if they'll find their way on to the C60?

I like it too.

Surprised myself with this as a year or so ago I wouldn't have considered/bought a black cased watch.

Don't truly believe its a vintage watch though. How many 50+ year old watches ever had black cases?

Nevertheless, black cased watches are very much 'on trend' at the moment so, no doubt, it ought to sell well for CWL.

Wonder how long before they bring out a black cased C65 Classic (the 43mm version with onion hands)?

I like the cricket bat hands.

You could say it's similar to a PP Nautilus, but that's no bad thing.
There's not really many other watches with that style hands, so I think it's a different look.

I much prefer the polished steel version, not keen on the Green Strap either, not keen on the leather/swede strap that came with the C65 vintage, the bracelet if by far better option.
