What's your official method of timekeeping?
What's your official method of timekeeping?
Hi all,
Not only am I new to this site, but new to the world of finer watches (WIS in training, as it were).
I've read posts were some say their watch is keeping good time, +/- however many seconds per day.
I have a question...
What do folks use to reference their watch's accuracy against?
- on line?
- atomic clocks at home?
- is there an app for that?
I could only guess that people have atomic clocks next to their watch collections and synchronize as needed.
Regards,
-scott

I use the same Time.is and added a £30 Casio RC Wave Ceptor to the watch box.

Re: What's your official method of timekeeping?
i take an average approach to 'the' time.... i glance at my phone, sometimes my computer, and my few watches that are lying around - quartz or still wound automatic, and come up withh some sort of (vague) average for setting my watch of the day. i may then set it a minute or two faster should i feel inclined that way.... (and it's more accurate than Korkki's method!)
i think it's clear that a sinngle handed watch is going to suit me just fine!

watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

in my first meeting with Kip in the now closed (still crying over this) Nashua showroom, he turned me on to the "Watchville" App that has an Atomic Clock.SSJczek wrote:Hi all,
