Bring back the C1

I only recently discovered the C1 by accident when doing a bit of general browsing. It is such a shame that it has been withdrawn as it is a really elegant design. I particularly like the gold model with the brown face and brown alligator strap. It would look really good in my box between my two Malverns and give me an alternative colour to wear. I have to hope that one day I will come across one for sale...

Oh, the irony! :P

You could always look at the C9 small seconds (which is a similar style), unfortunately not in a gold case.

There was a gold watch in the Archive event sale some months ago.

Would probably be worth being a contributor to gain access to the For Sale forum.

Certainly worth making a handful of meaningful posts. They do come up very occasionally, as one did recently.

Once you gain access you can put up a WTB...that's how I got my C3. Good luck.

I think it's a great design. What a pity the part owner of CW doesn't regard it as a proper watch!

Apparently CW thought it was a bit of a flop. Flop turns to hard to find classic--now there's irony

Greatest CW watch in my opinion. They do appear every so often; I waited ages for one to come but it was worth it. Now your desire is known rest assured that there are several devotees of this beautiful model who will let you know if one appears. That's how I got mine. At those times this forum is a wonderful place.

Glad to see my opinion is shared.
Paul, thanks for the suggestion but the C9 is a bit plain for me. The C1 colouring, the rounded case, Roman numerals and the small seconds add up to more than the sum of the parts. I suppose that's what style is...

I guess it's only me then who thinks that it is an awful watch.

Good that we're all different.
