CW quality control. Again.

Post by Hicksmat »

So I bought a c20 on bracelet in the sales after Xmas. It wasn't a NN it was a new one allegedly.

Opened the box found the bracelet badly scratched.
Sent it back at cost to me and they replaced the bracelet.

Opened the box when it came back and the pins were popping out all over the place. Sent it back at cost to them this time.

Finally got it back today and there is an issue. There is some kind of hair or something on the dial under the 12 baton. I can't live with that. So I've emailed Wera again.

This is not good is it? I've already decided not to purchase another CW and I'm giving my business to other companies.

So do I ask for a refund? If so there may be a c20 added to the CW sales soon. :(

So angry.

I think a "three strikes and your out approach" is pretty reasonable. They've now sent you three defective watches in a row. If it was me, I would regard the C20 as being jinxed and would request a full refund. :(

Perhaps restrict yourself to only getting CWL watches from sales corner for a while. At least there you'll be pretty sure you're won't get a lemon.

This is bad luck sir, and a poor poor show from CW. I understand your frustration. I would ask for my money back and call it a day on the C20 - it would seem it was never meant to be for you

They should refund you the cost of any return shipping. If you don't see a credit, let Wera know

You start to begin to think "what muppets are employed to check and send out the end product?"

Now I am awaiting the return of my repaired JH 3. Wasn't allowed a replacement as the delivery time is not included in the 60 days.

Oh by the way the cost of postage was returned. However, the cost of the packaging was not.

What a great company to deal with.

Why would they pay for packaging ?
I deal with RMA's as part of my job and we only refund shipping costs or have it reterned on our account.
As to the issues with quality some is the fault of Cw but a % is probably down to how the watch's are packaged and the courrier and third party shippers handleing of packages.

if there is a fault then CW should pay to take it back, not the customer.

there is a level of incompetence at work here, where is the quality control before the watch leaves the factory/office and ship to the customer?

been thinking about what options are open to me, and I guess its:

1) they do a repair, hopefully they will cover shipping costs, and I hope and pray nothing else goes wrong when it comes back to me, or
2) i get a full refund

I love my lido and touch wood have had no issues with it , but the fact that it was previously returned before you bought it and the issues you have had I would be asking for a refund and walking away. If it comes back in A grade condition I would still be wondering what would go wrong next.

This simply is not on, I don't understand why any Watch sent out is not inspected properly.
Frankly it is not that difficult to check a Watch out, I could see myself in quality control and believe me nothing would get by me.
I have to ask is it sometimes deliberate, as nothing else make sense as it simply should not happen.
Sorry you have had a bad experience.

Growing pains perhaps?

I have four from a few years ago. They sent me the wrong watch once, but at least they all worked. I imagine it isn't five blokes in a warehouse anymore.
