Is this the first display of the 40mm C9 case? The new CW releases have been very attractive, bring on the C8s!

I'm surprised they don't offer both Numerals and Arabic versions, it's only an hour wheel after all so it isn't like a design change would be required. if one starts to become more popular than the other just adjust the percentage accordingly at manufacture.

Despite my reservations mentioned earlier in the thread, this^^ is what still keeps my interest. The idea of a less precise way of telling the time does appeal. Like the single (hour) handers from MeisterSinger, all about it being 'roughly' 12.45 etc.

Pah. Who has time for that? I'm a busy man, I can't be spending minutes at a time looking at my watch. I have things to do. The internet won't browse itself.

As a meistersinger No1 owner I read the dial to the minute. Ok seconds is a no go by hey ho.

Interesting Nick. Did it take you a while to 'tune in' to doing that, or is it quite easy to read to that level of accuracy? I just assumed that at a glance it'd be a rough estimation of the time.

Very quickly. The five minute graduations make it very simple.

Nice to see CW dip into the parts bin and come out holding something other than a 43mm C9 case. With the smaller size and lower price, these should do well.

It seems that yesterday was quite interesting. It is great to see JJ producing smaller watches, but this one is not for me, I think on account of 13.3mm case depth and Arabic window. If it had looked like the Mk 1 with the "spider's web" and Roman hours I would have been interested.

The half minute which we daily devote to the winding-up of our watches is an exertion of labour almost insensible; yet, by the aid of a few wheels, its effect is spread over the whole twenty-four hours.

Interesting as when the Mk I came out it was hated by 99% of the forum who said it was a bad design and priced at over £1,000 would never sell. It turned out to be the fastest selling LE for CWL and now people are look at it as a classic. Just goes to show that the "wisdom of the forum" (to paraphrase a best seller) is not always right.

Interesting, I wasn't using the forum when the Mk.1 was announced so was unaware of the dislike. For me the first I knew of it was the CW Magazine publication, was love at first sight for me and has remained that way ever since(I still think of it as the most original CW yet produced).

A 40mm version of the exact same design would really give me a tough dilema.
