Wish CW had a similar watch with white face blue hands.
CW have the silver faced C9 Chrono which is close.

They've discontinued that model, yes.

The blue version is currently a steal at half price if you're quick. That's the only version they have currently.

Yes, I know about the blue version, but prefer white/silver. Also it seems that it does not have a second hand which I need. The Hamilton Jazzmaster Maestro is probably the only cheaper substitute right now.

I have commissioned a watch to be designed and made to my specifications. The project is estimated to take at least a year to realise and is very much a labour of love. Once the first drawings of the case and dial have been completed I will share them on the forum. I guess this is my grail.

Who is this being done with, CW? How much is it setting you back?

I'm working with the people who worked on the design for the Bremont Victory. Cost is yet to be finalised but I'm comfortable with the estimates, life too short not to realise an ambition. I will share the progress on the forum as the project develops including no doubt the challenges.

I can't wait to hear the progress. I'm very interested in this idea and process

Not really discontinued; it was a limited edition of 250 that sold out.

They should make it a regular model. I know it would be desirable to many people.

My grails have recently been an omega aqua terra 15000 Gauss or an omega moon watch however depending on what cwl does with their SH21 movement, I might be purchasing an in house cwl before those. Especially at a fraction of the omega's prices.

I don't think I can ever have a watch more grail like than my vintage Vacheron & Constantin.

Image

It just has everything I'd ever want in one package.

However, my RPaige "Wocket" began life in 1917 as a pocket watch and the dial is very striking, plus it's the oldest movement/dial I have. It'll be 100 years old in a few years.

I recently acquired a Tag Heuer Monza from 2003. I know, what's grail have to do with anything Tag Heuer? This watch has the El Primero movement, a beautiful dial, and they only produced 150, so it's rare.

I enjoy all of my watches, but these 3 stand out from the rest.

Mine has been changing a lot lately but my current grail is the A.Lange and Sohne Lange 1 Time Zone. Tried one on at a dealer and it hooked me.

When I first started working in a Bank, my grail watch was a Tag Heuer F1 with a black dial that I finally got 4 years after starting. It was my daily watch for several years until I got the C40.

My latest grail was a Girard Perregaux Traveller:

I say "was" because once I actually saw it in the flesh and had it in the hand, it was much larger and thicker than I thought so it kinda lost some of the appeal. Still wouldn't mind one though.

As to current grail, I can't think of anything I'd really, really want that screams out "some day, thou shalt be mine". Sure, there are Pateks I like but you can bet that once that particular itch has been scratched, it's only a matter of time before you get another.

You see that stray cat down the alley furiously scratting away? Every one of those fleas is a grail

Too many watches, not enough time :(

Great watches. A Lange is always a dream of mine. i'm not much for the brand, but a tag with an el primero movement is very appealing
