newbie needs advice choosing between C60/C61

Post by Lablodge »

I have 7 3/4" wrists and am having trouble deciding between the C60 and C61 any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated. I will use watch outdoors not as a dress watch (rarely if ever put on a tie).

hi and welcome

I also have the same size wrist as you, without question it has to be the C60.As well as the C60 I also own a C6,C7 and a C4 all of which sit nicely on my wrist. Pull the trigger on a C60 and enjoy, you will not be disappointed :(

Welcome to the forum. With your wrist size, I would think you would be fine with either watch, so it's basically a question of preference. My wrists are slightly smaller, but I'd still choose the C60.

I also have slightly smaller wrist (7.1/2") and C60 is fine.

i agree with downer, it comes down to preference. like downer, my wrists are smaller (7.25) and while i'd probably be comfortable with either size (i have a vintage 35mm diver), i have the 42mm and wouldn't trade for the smaller one.

I have both, but with a 7" wrist, I much prefer the C60 over the C61 on a reular basis.

I'd say the C60 for sure, with a small caveat.

What shape is your 7 3/4" wrist?

My wrist is identically sized, but it's quite wide and flat, so even 44+ mm watches look ok on it. Anything under 40mm looks a bit lost on it.

I have similiar sized wrists to you and i have a C60 and it is one of the most comfortable wearing watches i own. My advice would be to go big and get a C60 in the first instance, and if it does feel too big then exchange it for a C61.

MY wrist is approx 6.5 - quite girly looking lol. I thought the C61 was quite small looking when I got it out the box but when I'd worn it for a while, I was really glad I didn't go for a C60.

6 1/4 here.
The c61 looked far too small on my wrist.
Although I think your brain gets used to whatever your wearing after a while, size wise.

Strange isn't it how perceptions can be different with the same watch on a similar sized wrist.

Another vote for the C60. I have a 6.5" wrist and the C60 wore deceptively smaller IMO due to the design and the way it hugs the wrist on the supplied strap.

Absolutely right. If I go from a Vintage to my C3, C1 or a diver, or even vice versa, it takes a few minutes but I soon get used to it.

And I would have thought the OP would be fine with the larger watch.

I have a 7" wrist, went for a C61 but felt is was too small so exchanged for a C60 - which is great for me..... So agree with the others that it would be best to try the C60 first.....
