Re: C65 available for preorder

This is the first one in a long while that I will consider. It reminds me of an Omega Aqua Terra which is no bad thing in my book. I'm looking for a black dial/brown strap and have been looking at the Baume and mercier Clifton but found it a bit too light for my tastes when I examined one recently. The only thing I'm not sure of yet is te hands - I'm not a big fan, but I like the watch overall.

Cheers,
jack.

I too love this design, and it certainly gave off some 'wow' factor' on first sight. In an ideal world I'd personally have a slightly smaller face/case and new/fresh hands (and maybe a splash of red on either the dial wording and/or second-hand tip, as per the C60/C61 etc) but it's now on my wishlist long with a C5 Slimline. :)

I've just imported a Seiko SARB 33 ( White face ) for literally half that price including all import taxes .
Ok it's only 100m water resistant but it's got a clear back and normal hands - no contest in my view
The Seiko SARB range are very handsome watches, with an Aqua Terra look combined with Grand Seiko inspired features. It's a real shame they aren't available officially in the UK.

I really like the C65, except for the hour hand. I might overlook that and go for one, until I can afford a GS or Aqua Terra, and can't be bothered to import an SARB.

The large size is of C65 fine by me.

Lots of comments about the hands which do not seem to be universally liked.

However, if they were changed the only item to carry over from the C60 would be the case; which would then mean it would not be appropriate to call the C65 the 'Trident Classic'.

I like the hands as they are!

I agree. They set it apart from so many other similarly styled watches and tie it in as part of the Trident family.

Is it just me or does the case back engraving look deeper than on the C60? I've always found the engraving lacking on my Trident when compared to the machining on my Aquaracer.

I breezed through the thread quickly...but didn't see any links yet. Any of those website have them reviewed yet?

I kinda like it (would have liked it more if it wasn't the uneventful back). I think the Lido is calling me more in dreams than the trident classic...especially the bracelet one, now that it is on its way out!

No reviews on the C65 yet as it has only been released for pre order.

Is the bracelet the same as the one for the C60?

I don't think this will work, according to my chart.
