Re: Sale
I would have thought there was a distinct possibility - it has begun in early July for the last couple of years.

A feeding frenzy like you would not believe!Berkshire Critic wrote:I would be interested to know what to expect from a summer sale based on members pervious experience.
Normally, several NN watches with decent reductions, as well as a few selected last of the line (phase-out) models, again with decent discount. In the past, there have been some very deep discounts, but not necessarily on the models people really want.

Lot's of raised expectations, followed by lots of moaning as the website crashes, then lot's of bitching as 'someone' got preferential treatment whilst their order just disappearedBerkshire Critic wrote:I would be interested to know what to expect from a summer sale based on members pervious experience.
In previous years there have been some bargains, but recently, not so much.

Re: Sale
add in the fact that CWL will put it up on their website 'hidden' before the launch time - some members of the forum will nobly hold off and wait until the official launch (by which time there will be no watches left on sale) and others will employ gangs of russian hackers to discover that if you type in nn in the search box you can see them beforehand and order ahead of the launch of course their software might have tightened up a bit now...
other members will sit around declaring to all that they won't be buying any this time as they have plenty - and then a week later post an 'incoming' post showing them unwrapping several CWL watches at once...

Re: Sale
NN watches are usually 30% discount. They also have some models with 30% discount and occasionally 50% or 70% off models that they want to clear before the new models come out in Autumn. While there is a mad rush as they are announced and the web site feels like you are in the past on a 9600 baud modem they do hold some back to release in phases throughout the sale.
Note that the NN watches can be just ones or twos of some models and so will fly out the door.

Re: Sale
Ah yes forgotten that - there will of course be two or three threads posted with folks complaining that they don't get emails...Jammy Devil wrote:Just wait for the email notifying the start of the sale
It does help to a) be on holiday or b) work for yourself sitting at a computer all day...
also - very worthwhile studying the watches CWL make beforehand and making a short list of ones you would buy / price for which you would buy them... - you won't have time to think about it when you spot them - you need to just buy them...
if you miss a bargain - don't worry, it might well end up on ebay a few weeks later for only slightly more
