Is it possible to remove tiny scratches?

Post by arjen »

Ok, It has finally happened

There is a tiny scratch on my Malvern Aviator. I don't know how or when it happened but it's there! It is on top of the watch on the top ring near the glass.

Is there a way to remove the scratch?

No worries! I guess it happened because you were using the watch! Tiny scratches are not a problem for me, they give the watch character

That said, it is possible to remove scratches. I use Cape Cod cloths for this, they can restore the shiny polished finishing fairly easy (I feel a video coming on! )

You must realize however that each time you polish you remove a tiny bit of metal, never over-polish your watches. I also have 1 or 2 tiny scratches on my Malvern, but I don't think they don't bother me. I will keep wearing the watch for a few more years, and then I'll give it a light polish!
