Interesting reaction from another forum
Having recently ordered my Bremont MB11 TWG LE I decided to join the Bremont forum. Members here might like to view this post. http://www.alt1tude.com/forum/t761/
If nothing else the administrator here has raised the profile of CW watches, which can only be a good thing. I would think that he is feeling a bit silly right now.

Comments like
"And I would sell all of those paper weights you have for the 1 MBII any day! (Sorry, I meant CHRap Wards)"
Then
"Guys I'm just having fun! -Not a massive fan of CW, for the price I'd rather go Hamilton as they have some heritage..."
If he is keen on heritage why is he so keen on Bremont?

An interesting read! Being new to the world of watch forums I assumed they all were as welcoming and as positive an environment as the CW forum. How wrong I was! It certainly makes one appreciate the community that resides here.

I suppose everyone is entitled to their opinion but one would expect an administrator of a forum to possess a modicum of propriety or to at least avoid making such pathetic remarks.
Re: Interesting reaction from another forum
It is irritating. The guy who runs the Bremont forum is a staunch defender of that brand, and seems to get very irritated when people have an unjustified pop at Bremont on TZ. Seems he has not learned anything.

Agreed, and it seems that other forum members feel the same way. It is good to see people coming the CW's defence, even those from another forum. On the plus side, some Bremont owners have discovered CW and are considering them as their next purchase.jmarchitect wrote:I suppose everyone is entitled to their opinion but one would expect an administrator of a forum to possess a modicum of propriety or to at least avoid making such pathetic remarks.

Congratulations on a fantastic purchase. I am certain you will get a lot of pleasure from it! Very jealous this end! Well done also for sticking up for the cw brand. The fact that this guy is an administrator makes it even worse. In contrast to the other measured replies my reaction is that the bloke is a total knobhead!
Enjoy the endless wait until the bremont arrives!

Disappointing from an administrator, who also seems to know nothing of the brand. I wonder if Wera knows Chris is just a made up person

Re: Interesting reaction from another forum
Looks like Piers the administrator has almost the right forum name - he should change it to Atitude.
It does look though as though a few might be heading in this direction.

Half tempted to sign up over there. Even Bremont-bashing (a professional sport in its own right on TZ-UK) on here gets little reaction, with most comments variants of "well, Mortis is entitled to his opinion". What's a Menace to do?!

Hi everyone
I'm Piers - The founder, owner and yes admin of Alt1tude. My comments were in jest, not to be taken seriously and had I for once thought that it would have created ill feeling then I would have kept my comments to myself! Yes I confess I care little for the CW brand or their watches, but respect that others do like them.
Please accept my apologies. Piers (Alt1tude)

Re: Interesting reaction from another forum
What amused me was your comment to go with Hamilton instead of CWL as they have more "heritage". Yet Bremont was founded in 2002 and so is only 3 years older than CWL. So I could say don't pick a Bremont and go with Rolex, Omega or Breitling as they have more heritage.
Just in jest of course.
