C3 Malvern C3SWT Lume

Post by hardz_10 »

Hi all, I bought the C3 not long ago and have been meaning to post a review and some pics but never get around to it. Promise I will. I was having a look around the forum and of some pics others have put up and noticed how luminous some of the CW watches are. I noticed my C3 doesn't really lume up at all. In all honesty, I don't wear it often enough so I put it down to the face not getting enough sunlight. Am I right in thinking this or could it be a problem?

Thanks in advance guys

Welcome to "The Asylum"!

The C3 is not loaded with lume, but it still needs light to get charged up. Try holding it under a lamp for 30 seconds and then look again. :)

Most of the lume photographs on this forum (and the internet in general), including mine, are not a good representation of what you can expect in real life.

If you shine a torch into the watch face for a several seconds and then take a long exposure picture, you will get the lume to look incredibly bright - far brighter than in real life.

Thanks guys, I gave it a go by holding it under a light for 30 seconds and for the first time I saw the hands glow. It looks amazing, I will post a photo later tonight, at work at the moment.

Thanks for the responses!

It is better if you embed the photo using the Img tag as it makes it easier for forum members. Like this

Hi Ian,

Thanks for advising that, I was trying to figure out how to do that but used the link instead. Will try the Img tag from now.
Here is the photo of the C3 with lume, sorry for the poor quality. I'll post proper pics when I do the actual review.

Again thanks for your help guys.

Well that's pretty cool... you have lume on the small hands as well.
