Re: Narrowed to 4 choices and now need advice...

Hello Laura - I have different CW watches including C3s and C5s. I would suggest that you consider a watch that might appeal on aesthetic grounds and stays in budget, rather than one he might get fed up 'fiddling' with occasionally, so a black faced C3 should hit the spot! http://i263.photobucket.co...

You'll like any of the C5s, but for legibility and overall good looks: the cream faced Aviator - it's my Avatar...UB :)

Re: Blu-ray player has just died

There's a mechanical release, isn't there? A leetle tiny hole in the outer edge of the tray that you investigate with a straightened paper clip. Fiddle, fiddle, push and 'bingo'. I should unplug it first...UB :)

Delivered today, my red 2012 FLE

Well pleased with this; I shan't swim and dive or go pot-holing or climbing, but it's tough enough to be my general work-horse. A couple of snaps which show my pleasure with the colour and the strap contour - http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii137/UncleBillscat/100_1627.jpg http://i263.photobucket...

Re: A Question on the c60 Crystal

I would think that a number of watches have a proud-sitting crystal. I have never chipped or damaged one and I haven't heard of anyone so doing. You might be better off asking if anyone has chipped, scraped, scarred or damaged one of these saphire crystals...UB :)

Re: Red 2012 FLE

Well, the Postman has just brought me my CW box and been chased round the front garden by my Shih-Tzu, Rooney. They both regard it as a non-contact spectator sport, but it sounds good. One of them slowed sufficiently for me to sign on the dotted electronic line and then I shouted 'Rooney!', sufficie...

Re: Automatics' stopping despite using them

Following a service on a non-CW automatic, it kept stopping as well. On return to the watchmaker, he opened the back and loosened the rotor mount; just like that... He said "Sorry about that" and it's been no more trouble. I have had one or two new autos that seemed a bit tight and new at ...
