Straum x Fratello

Post by Soporsche »

This just came through on email. Size is below my usual but thought it looked a really nice piece.
The red dial treatment and quality bracelet look knockout IMHO.

Having looked at their site it appears the c. 41mm version it is based on (albeit new case, movement, crystal.. 😆) was a lot less money for similar look in Green, Black etc but not red.
It's quite a lot for an micro brand but the spec is good and Fratello brings 'some' kudos I guess.
That red dial and the bracelet though, very nice!

I hadn't realised there were other colours too.

It does look good! Great dial.
But with the rumoured CW model in this 'space' possibly just around the corner...my powder is dry.

As in 'style of watch'. Integrated bracelet style. I hope :)

Struggling to commit based on the 39mm vs preferred 41mm, also maybe a little with handing over a fairly big chunk of change on a long pre-order without ability to view/try before.
I may get over the reservations though based on that dial/design/integrated bracelet 🙂

I had a white dial straum, it was very well made and the dial really is mesmerising. The unfinished sellita in the back took the shine off it a little though and that 41mm case was a bit of a monster due to the relatively thin design.

Looks like this new version solves my main gripes with it!
