I’ve been looking again at the text. My initial thought was that it was too much for the smaller dial. My next thought was that if I was going to buy one (and I would if I could ), I’d want all the beef of the original on my smaller watch! I’d rather have the text taking up space than a date window :D

I've not looked at it in detail, but then it's not really my cup of tea.

I'll move on.

Wow, love this. I won’t be swapping from my BB58, however if I was in the market for an alternative diving watch then this would tick a lot of boxes.

I like this a lot.
Do I like it £2750 more than a white dialled, 38mm trident 300? Not sure about that!

It’s a no for me - the Pro 300 is a much better option.

Never liked the snowflakes - kills the dial.

I hear you completely. I'd take the 40mm though. Shame the orange tropic doesn't fit the two bigger size watches.

I really like it but currently have the Seiko SPB213 and as Stef said, not sure I like it £2800 more (as I’d likely get about £700 by selling this Seiko).

Also not sure whether to wait for a better adjustment on the bb58 clasp that surely can’t be far away.

Looks pretty good to me, will certainly pop in a try one on when I'm next passing one of the two Tudor AD's in Edinburgh.

Can't imagine I'll be looking to buy one at the moment, that's 6 months of energy bills right there :problem:

I like it a lot. I'll have to see the dial and bezel in the metal to really pass judgement, but the sunburst effect seems pretty subtle compared to, say, an Orient Mako. I know this is meant to be Tudor's pure tool watch, but I can't help but think that polishing the case bevel would have taken this to the next level.

Makes me doubt every watch choice I ever made. I thought I could out-sophisticate the advertising people!

I was reaching for my Mastercard when I spotted the caseback was steel, not titanium. So, it’s a ‘no’ from me.

Using a steel caseback negates the benefits of an otherwise titanium watch. It means the Pelagos isn’t wearable by anyone with a nickel allergy and loses titanium’s comfort in temperature extremes.

At this price point, I feel it’s naughty of Tudor to use cheaper materials – grade 2 titanium, not grade 5, and a caseback that’s not even titanium. It’s what I expect and get at Steinhart’s price level.

It’s Pelagos close but no cigar.
