I said before the series the only chance of it not being 5-0 is if COVID cancelled one of the tests and in sticking with it.

Nothing will change my.mind from this.

We play no county cricket at the height of summer just so we can fit in the shorter formats. That's fine elsewhere where early or late summer doesn't equal cold weather and 79mph bowlers hooping the ball round corners (cough... Darren Stevens).

None of our county batsman ever come up against regular pace and bounce and therefore they will never be ready to make the step up. Same for the bowlers at county level; seam bowlers aren't rewarded for bowling quickly and spin bowlers aren't required to bowl 25 overs a day when the matches are played in April.

Systematic failings.

Best session of bowling in the series so far - a bit of aggression and pride being shown

Need one more wicket before lunch and it’s game on. Get Robinson on and tell him to bend his back and give it everything. Come on England!

In bed now waiting for the back pain to settle down, score is 42-4. In Root and Stokes we trust. Pitch is OK today, maybe it's time for 2 heoes to get us to a win......

Ffs Stokes bowled just I was to press send

It's all over England are out for 68 and lose by an innings and 14 runs. We lose the Ashes with the worst result on Australian soil since 1904. It's an embarrassment and we were outplayed. On a positive chocolate is really tasty 😃

Absolutely embarrassing! Too much emphasis on white ball - we can’t play red ball cricket which is the pinnacle of the sport. As a very proud Englishman, and someone that has played pro sport in Australia so know how much they really like to give it to us , I’m close to tears here with how humiliated we have been in this series. Think I’m gonna get ****!

Totally agree with the above.

I'm not a mad cricket fan but there has to be something deeply wrong with our cricket system or players. 68 all out - abysmal.

We would be better off playing our one day team and letting them play like a one day team. Would not get less than 68!
As a cricket fanatic this is very sad

On the positive side, Mike. They didn't keep you up too long. Boylan got a wicket every time he ran in.
