Re: Goodbye dad
condolences to you and the family. Lost my father 19 years ago. He was a WWII vet and it eventually caught up to him. They say time heals the wounds but it just glosses over them. On the 12th of this month it will 15 years since I lost my wife of over 30 years. As long as you remember them, they will live on through you and your family and friends.

Re: Goodbye dad
Be not troubled by weeping, let your tears flow.
Happy memories will flood forward but honestly, don't be surprised if your tears catch you out a week, a month or even years ahead.
You'll always have your dad there to talk to.

Re: Goodbye dad
Hi all,
Sorry for not replying earlier, I have been so busy this week sorting my dad's affairs. I'm worn out from crying and the massive amount I've had to do as well as working.
I would like to thank you all for your messages which I deeply appreciate.
I am now finally on top of everything. Dad was 89 and passed away peacefully, it was a real shock as apart from his frailty was in good health, I was planning his 90'th birthday and his special present which was going to be CW watch. He will never see it now but I know he would have treasured whichever watch I picked for him.
Thanks so much for the messages and dad would also have appreciated them
God bless all
Mike

Re: Goodbye dad
My condolences Mike. My dad was the first of my parents to pass away and while I still miss him, the grief is long gone. More of a longing of times and things I’d have like to have shared with him. Take care.
