*Update 6* - Back Home Where She Belongs

Post by scooter »

This has probably been one of the hardest days of my life to get through.

To explain:

This morning I have been going through some photographs of my lovely wife Sue. These are a few that I took about 10 to 12 years ago:

Sue had recently been found to have a hole in the heart (not a real problem) and a heart valve that was leaking (a big problem). This morning Sue underwent major open heart surgery and was on the operating table in the Bristol Royal Infirmary from 8am to 2:30pm.

She was meant to be out around noon, but when I rang at 2pm the guy was a bit evasive and told me to ring again in an hour.

That was a difficult hour to get through.

I rang at 3pm to be told that the surgery had been successful. I have yet to find out the extent of the surgery which, to be honest, is of secondary importance to me.

It was agreed beforehand that I would not be going to see Sue today. She needs to have that time to recover.

This is a selection of beer that I purchased today. It was going to be needed one way or another.

Nothing, but nothing, is more important than good health.

scooter - savour your beer, you'll be in to see your wife very soon, and it''ll be wonderful :D

Sincerely wishing you both warmth, love and strength.

Strength for Sue to make a successful & full recovery from her operation and you, scooter, for being there and being able to support and care for her.

Interesting selection of beers by the way. Do tell us, in due course, which one you prefer.

My other half has/had hocum. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypertrop ... iomyopathy

She had surgery including the injection of neat alcohol to the heart inducing a deliberate heart attack whilst she was awake a couple of years ago - she was fine and although not perfect has made a good recovery. I did see her in ICU the day of the procedure, which was good, but brief and she was discharged in a couple of days.

I'm sure your wife will be fine, try to keep yourself busy and you will be also.
If you need to chat then DM me.

She's also incredibly tolerant to watch purchases.

You're all so very kind.

I appreciate each and every comment.

It has been a worrying 6 months or so and I belatedly apologise if that has shown occasionally in my posts.

I'm know that I'm not very tolerant at the best of times.
