Stowa Flieger, a new version

Post by Jan »

Stowa will introduce another modern flieger soon, based on the Flieger TO 1 Testaf.

Size 43mm and named the Flieger TO 2.

Still working on the final design, but here are some pics from a discussion on WUS:

For me, this has a better size than the Sinn 556.

Hmmm, not for me I'm afraid. It's just an over-sized Sinn 556l with a unpleasant crown :?

Not what I would have expected from Stowa

Never thought a watch can be too bland, guess I was wrong.

Couldn't the same be said for many of the iterative processes taking place in horology, namely small changes on existing bases? Sure, there is very little that is different between the Sinn in IAJ's post and the mock-ups in Jan's post but there are differences and often I suspect that is enough. I like simple designs and in fact do like the 'new' offerings from Stowa. I am still struggling with their new logo.
