I've seen some straps advertised as being "Ballistic" or "Ballistic PU" and only know of PU being used for rubber straps. The pictures of these "Ballistic" or "Ballistic PU" ones look like they're just normal waterproof nylon straps.
Anyone know "Ballistic" and "Ballistic PU" means other than the straps might go crazy at any moment? Here's a picture of one of the straps:

Re: What type of straps are these?
Thanks, I already looked at Watch Obsession and it says:
I'm guessing these are Ballistic Nylon with PU coating but no idea what "Ballistic" means for a strap
But this doesn't explain the strap material. Nylon PU? Rubber PU? Leather PU?Our Ballistic PU watch straps are fantastic, affordable sports watch straps that are ideal for divers and other water sports enthusiasts. They're waterproof, comfortable and durable making them perfect for diving and other sports.
SPECIFICATION
Strap Material: Ballistic Polyurethane (PU)

It's just the style of nylon weave I think. And it sounds "cooler" than calling it plastic basket weaved fabric...

I don't think they're weaved, I believe it's a print on the top layer.

Cheap polyurethane (PU) as a substitute for natural rubber.
Basically, hard wearing.

Ballistic strop, isn't that what some guys' wives do when they buy a new watch?

Re: What type of straps are these?
I'm thinking EBay search maratac rubber straps which two of my Tritech Elites sit on, I'm thinking C1000 strap, probably also watchgecko et al. Durable, tough, shower and sea capable, contrast stitching in a helpful range of colours....

They are Maratac - really good replacement for rubber straps. They are very flexible and come with contrasting stitching.
