What strap is this from the CW site

Post by Rockmastermike »

This shot is from the CW site however I can't find this particular strap color on their Strap section.

I see other colors in canvas but not this color - perhaps sold out at the moment??....any help is appreciated as I think it is perfect for the Sandhurst

Good question.

From our entry in the CWArchives we describe this strap as a Camel Canvass/Webbing and you're quite correct that it seems to be missing from the CW Website right now.

If it was sold out for the moment i.e. temporarily Out of Stock, it would be usual for CW to still list it, but with an availability of 'Pre-order for date'.

Also looking at the availability of the C65 Sandhurst it seems that CW have switched to the option of a camel Vintage Oak.

Thank you. I'll keep my eye out for one and visit the archive section, too

I bought this very strap (in 22mm) for my C65 Cranwell, from the website on 21st July. I went back to check the site again a few days later, and that strap was indeed missing, so it's possible I ordered the very last one :problem:

It was originally listed as one of the three options for the Cranwell (Bracelet, Brown Tiber and Brown Canvas Webbing), but that option is also now missing as well :?

Maybe Christopher Ward have discontinued that colour, which would be a great shame, as it's the perfect partner to the Cranwell (see photo) and looks great in that Sandhurst photo too

If it helps, the Camel leather strap also looks very decent on the Cranwell, so might be a good option initially, whilst waiting to see if the brown webbing comes back into stock. Although admittedly, the webbing does feel more "military".
