Where do you get the clasps out of interest?

Actually most I got from CW (I ordered straps that had the badger buckle) when they were on sales a few years ago. The others from Strapco.com

I have gotten some straps and butterfly deployant clasps from Vario in Singapore. (I also got one of their Empire watches which is stylish and great!)

I wish I knew why the Bader was being phased out. Combined with the Cordovan it is the best leather strap/deployant combo they have done. I can’t get my head around why they would make something so outstandingly good and then just drop it.

I think we should stage a protest outside HQ. :wuah: :error:

Agree 100% Steve. This is one of those things that should be expanded upon, not cut. :irre: Makes no sense at all. I have bought two in the last few months, just grabbing them whenever I can.

I’m one of those people who think that bader, or any other deployants, are a solution to a problem that didn’t exist. I’ve purposely swapped out all mine on all my watches and swapped Zenith, IWC, Bremont and CW deployant/baders for standard tang buckles as they are far more comfortable.

My dad on the other hand thinks they are the best thing since sliced bread and I’ll have to fit his bader to a non CW Tag or Omega type strap to keep him happy when his CW one wears out.

I went ahead and ordered a large number of sporty deployment clasps for my watches. Many have very similar clasps to the Bader buckle. Got these all off, Amazon, really inexpensively, and I think that gives a sporty luck to the dress watches.

It’s also easy to remove these clasps from the rubber strap and put a leather strap on. Just another way to get that seamless look. Image

I posted a mini review of the Bader clasp a few years ago. Still a massive fan, but it works best for me on correct length straps.
