Received the new trident bracelet today
after watching/reading reviews of the new slimmer bracelet I ordered one hoping it would make a real difference to my trident unfortunately this was not the case
The bracelet is tapered more but they’ve made the clasp longer so for people with a slimmer wrist you end up with the clasp filling the underside of your wrist
If anything I would have thought the clasp would be shorter on a slimmer bracelet
Apart from the screwed links the bracelet is exactly the same
I’ll stick with my original c60 mk3 bracelet which is excellent anyway

This is good to know for those of us with wrists on the smaller size. Can you give us a number for the actual difference in length of the clasp?

I wonder if the longer clasp is to accommodate the greater range of micro-adjustment?

That’s probably why its longer to accommodate the extra adjustment, i’ll check the size

Was this 20 or 22 lug? Did the end link fit your current trident? I wouldn't think it would with the slimmer case.

Older clasp approx 38mm new one 43mm doesn’t seem a lot but when the bracelet has to bend round your wrist it does make a difference
I had the bracelet adjusted to accommodate 170cm wrist size
If the clasp was the same or shorter the bracelet really would look different
Those with a large wrist will benefit as it will look slimmer , but generally someone who buys a 38mm watch has a slimmer wrist

Photo posted earlier, on Thursday afternoon, in the preview thread, Andrew. It has the measurements you want, albeit on an Aquitaine bracelet.

If you had two of those you could use them as handcuffs.

A few points to consider:

- the length of the clasp on the Aquitaine, C63LE and new Trident 300 are the same.
- the effective length on the above is no different to that on a 39mm C63 Sealander.
- the effective length isn’t the length of the clasp…
- it’s the length of the blade, plus the non articulated link next to the clasp on the 6 o’clock side.

In my view the effective length is too long for small wrists. My wife agrees.

CW are not alone in having a non articulated link on the 6 side. There is also one on a BB58.

The improvement I'm looking for against the existing bracelet models is to reduce the extent to which the back end of the clasp (the non-Twin Flags end) stands off from my wrist. I think it's a combination of the extra thickness at that point so there's the top of the clasp, the links and the underlying curved "inner" part of the clasp which pushes the links away from the underside of my wrist.

Interestingly, if I wear my watch "dial down" (which I don't) the problem goes away.
