New strap for C70GB... choices, choices

Post by f1colin »

Much as Jag likes the "vintage" look of the brown strap on my C70 Brooklands, it is a little tired. Assuming I can get the case fitted with a new bezel via Wera soon, I will be changing the strap - I like the perforated and the rally version of these (ebay at £10 each) and will fit the CW deployments as the strap is a 22mm/20mm, but cant decide on what looks best. Heart says the big holed rally version top left, head says perforated in the middle of the trio - thoughts? :?

I agree - the perforated version would be my choice.

The big-holed version just looks a little dated to me..All good and well if you routinely wear driving gloves in your road car.......but I'm guessing you don't. :)

Lord D - you are correct - no stringbacks in sight, although the occasional sparco race glove is donned on track :D

Looks like the perforated is getting the vote so far...

Another vote for the perforated! Fancy this possibly for the forthcoming Red LE.

Perforated, just to be different!

When you get it on your GB, Colin, show us a pic, please. Might look good on the DBR1 too!

Good call as I've got the Red C60 FLE JAG on order too.

Therefore it looks like the perforated is going to be ordered!

Will post pics once it all comes together :)

Small delay as the C70 is back with CW for a re-case and new bezel and after initially buying a perf and big holed version, I went for the 'big hole' strap in black with white stitch. Tried both but my personal view was the big hole really suited the "circle theme" of the dial - very "Bernard Richards" (Which the C70 undoubtedly apes)...
