Great variations to really visualize the watch's true potential! Thanks!alphajet wrote:When I ordered the C11 the brown strap version, which would have been my first choise was on back order, so being very impatient to get hold of the C11, I ordered the black strap version. The first thing I did was swap the strap, nothing wrong with the original CW strap, just find plain black straps a little dull. Here are some of the variations I have tried, I guess I must be compulsive strap swapper.LateWorm wrote:Curious....
As I will be receiving a c11 shortly, I am wondering what necessitated the strap swap? Just personal preference or did you find the original "wanting" in some way?
Looks great on that strap though.

Got my C40 Speedhawk fitted up with an IWS Shell Cordovan black leather box strap with red stitching from Westons;-
Lovely smooth quality leather, feeling solid and chunky to boot to go with the watch.

The blue of the strap, brings out the hands in a superb way. I might need one of these for my C9 Auto.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:Here's my C9 Chrono with Blue 'carbon fibre' leather strap;-

Re: New leather for my C11 from Weston Watch Straps
Ok Forum members; opinions requested.
I'm looking for a darker(ish) brown strap to use on my C60 Khaki, C11 Black Manta and C8 Pilot Cream face (all 22mm lug width) and I'm unable to decide on which of these straps I should get from WWS.
Strap needs to be combined length of 200mm or more for my largish wrist.

Not sure that the white stiching may be too bold.
http://www.westonwatchstraps.co.uk/prod ... tant..html
As this tapers and has a rectangular buckle hole, I will be able to fit a CWL buckle I have onto it.
http://www.westonwatchstraps.co.uk/prod ... tant..html
I'm thinking the Chestnut will be a darker shade of brown than the Tan Aniline.
Any suggestions from elsewhere will be welcome ( I have considered Steveo straps but nowt that grabs me for this requirement).

I like 2 and 3 but not one. SteveO will do custom straps to you specification as will Toshi.

Re: New leather for my C11 from Weston Watch Straps
I have the oil tanned chestnut Hadley Roma on my Stowa (it's a 20mm version)...
It seems quite a bit lighter in my picture than on the WWS website. Personally, I really like the strap - especially given the modest price, and, in combination with the relatively small Stowa, it fits ok on my 8" wrist.
