Leather for the C60 Trident GMT

Post by Dion »

Can anyone tell me which leather strap is used in the C60 Trident SRBK model and whether I can purchase it from the CWL website? Just bought the C60 GMT on a SS and would like a spare strap.

I would have thought any strap for the either the C6 or the C60 divers, and possibly even the straps for the C4 or C40.

I think the C40 strap black with red stitching would look good, you would then have a CW deployant clasp as well which can then also be used on after market straps. :D

No more Quartz (except when I cannot resist).

Which one would fit the SS? Replace the SS with a leather and then buy another watch to replace the SS, or should I buy a leather and then another one on a rubber and then.............my head hurts.

I like the SS, but I also think the C60 would look cool on the leather. Don't want two C60's though, do I?

How beautiful does that look on the wrist...!!?? Awesome - quick question though, it looks like thats a GMT version in all black (or does it have orange markers)... The website only has the orange and Pepsi versions... is CW doing different styles for different regions?

How bad is your monitor mate?! :)

Dion's pic is of a pepsi bezel version?

It is a bit dark, which is probably why it looks black at first glance though! :)

Thanks for all the advice guys, but I am no closer. My worry is whether the leather strap would be flush to the case and not just attached to the springbar, therefore leaving a small gap? Not sure if I have explained that well!

If you want a strap that fits to the case, I think you have a couple of options:

1. Get the leather strap that CW will be supplying with the C60. This will fit. I think there is a small supply delay at the moment (from reading other posts on here), but I guess you are not desparate for a new strap...

2. Hirsch do some leather straps that have an adjustable curved end. Do a search for "Hirsch Leonardo". I had one on my C60 (the old C60, same basic case) for a while. It was an absolute b*gger to fit!

99% sure the C40 strap will not fit. I tried a C7 strap on mine (which also fits a C4), without success.

Based on a query to Wera at the end of last week, the C60 Trident leather straps are due in this week (leaving Switzerland on 17th).

Let us know what you decide and post some pics when you've fitted it! :)
