I'm coming around to the bracelet
I'm coming around to the bracelet
I've been a devout strap person but I finally got around to installing the titanium bracelet that came with my Ti Certina DS Action 43. I must say when properly adjusted it helps balance the watch better. My question is, if I buy a steel case watch and use a strap, will it feel unbalanced? Will having the steel bracelet make the overall weight higher, but better balanced? I just had a huge steel Citizen Aqua and swore off steel. But there are some many more options.

Re: I'm coming around to the bracelet
Speaking for myself, I never find balance an issue with either a strap or bracelet.
I do think that it is a little easier to get a good fit with a strap (usually - there are exceptions). Bracelets can be trickier which adds to the feeling of being unbalanced (toolless adjust helps a lot here).
That said, bracelets can add a considerable amount of weight depending on the watch.
My C60 Pro 600 (42mm) sized for me (7.5 in wrist) comes in around 179 grams on bracelet (I think). Around 95 grams on strap.
My PO comes in at around 225 grams on bracelet (I have a first generation 45.5mm). The same watch comes in at 125 grams on the rubber strap. I definitely notice the weight on bracelet. The PO is also a good example of fit because I have the old bracelet without micro-adjust. I picked up a couple of half links that help with fit. It is close but not perfect.

I have a Oris Aquis titanium, Grey dial on a bracelet, 43.5mm. I was struck by the lightness. I have bought rubber straps in 5 different colours, and tend to wear these - currently 2:piece yellow, similar weight, I should think. I also bought a steel bracelet, slightly heavier, but wears very well, with hardly any colour difference.
