My most recent acquisition was a 1998 Omega Seamaster 300 from Pete @tikkathree; something that I’ve wanted since I was 16, and which I absolutely love.
Sadly, despite wanting to, I just couldn’t get on with the OEM bracelet which doesn’t taper, and isn’t my style.
I didn’t want a strap, so set about looking at alternatives…
1. An Omega Aqua Terra bracelet should fit, but blimey, the price was more than I wanted to pay.
2. Uncle (Seiko) offer a couple of options, but to fit a pre ‘18 model, their guidance is to slightly modify, by bending, the end links. I don’t want to be doing that, so that was off the table.
3. Forster, who I’ve never heard of before came up on a search and appeared to have exactly the style that I was looking for. Their customer service was great; quick replies, and they seemed to know their stuff. Annoyingly, they’re US based so there would be the rigmarole of paying duty, waiting for a parcel, etc, etc. Good news! I found that there is a UK distributer, so I placed an order last week. Fast forward to a parcel arriving today….

Forstner Model O bracelet
Re: Forstner Model O bracelet
Does this one have the stretchy links in which sort of acts as a micro adjust? Looks good, the only thing for me is the oyster does scream Rolex a bit too much, if it was more of a homage e.g like the CW bracelets I think that would work better for me. From that POV it’s probably the 1479 or bullet bracelet that work best… but just my 2 pence. I am defo in the minority of some of my choices - I love the SMP bracelet on my brosnan (watch also sold to me by Pete!). Mine though is more nostalgia as I the same watch 10 years ago and then stupidly sold it.
