Hey all,
I am a fan of the CW Cordovan strap on the Bader deployment, and was curious who could recommend another brand that they like with deployment clasp. Since CW only has the black in 20mm, I'd love to see maybe color 8, or a dark brown or tan Cordovan strap. Any recommendations?
I reached out to customer service and was told there wasn't any plans to expand the line at CW. I've seen a blue CW Cordovan before, but I would prefer color 8 or brown to blue, as it would suit my watches better in my opinion.
Not really worried too much about budget, but under 300$ would be excellent.
Thanks!

Re: Favorite non-CW Cordovan strap with Bader deployment?
I have about half a dozen CW Cordovans in various widths and colours. I loved the keeperless unbranded clasp, the QR pins, and the gorgeous leather.
I have bought Rios and Fluco cordovan straps, the Rios being noticeably thicker. (New York design). I think the Seattle is thinner. The Fluco is better for being thinner. However neither had QR pins, and neither had the CW or Omega style keeperless clasps. Occasionally I see NN CW straps, but to be honest I have what I need and can swap them around.
I don't really want to pay bespoke prices for something that may not be as good as the original CW offering.
For me the 20mm black CW costing £115 or less at the time, was easily comparable with the £500 alligator strap that came with my Speedmaster.
I have replaced tang clasps on many leather straps with aftermarket deployant clasps, even using omega style clasps on straps with (unused) keepers, sometimes butterfly. I prefer to keep the leather uncreased if possible. You don't really see the closure when it's on the palm side of your hand.
I did buy some straps called Edwyn when Watch Gecko had them on sale, because they included a deployant clasp, and found the clasps themselves were a slightly different style to the Omega/Bader design, and were very good.
The only negative I found was that aftermarket 20mm omega clasps (for a 22/20 strap) were unforgiving with a standard length strap. An 18mm clasp (for a 20/18mm strap) were small enough to be worn with a standard length strap. Normally Bader and Omega straps are 100/100 rather than 120/80 when used with a Bader clasp.
Perhaps not exactly what you were after, but hopefully you find this useful.
My original desire for cordovan straps was prompted by this article I came across some years ago.
