Delugs deployment clasp

Post by Maraeburn »

Hi all, this passed me by, but has been around for a few months already. Delugs released something which I had invented in my head about 10 years ago! A butterfly deployant clasp that enables you to use the original OEM buckle from your watch. Genius.

You can simply remove the supplied buckle and pin in the usual way you would for a strap, and replace with your own.

I just got it (it’s the new spring leaf clasp which is really nice and snappy), and put my Cartier Santos buckle on it. Works perfectly and really gives an OEM look! Downside is that they are not cheap, and with import tax and shipping - even more!

But I’m really impressed. Hopefully there will release an 18mm version.

Nifty. One of those moments where you wonder why that solution took so long to appear.

Anyway, my own little love affair with butterfly deployants ended. I now use either buckles or Omega style deployants with my lean being towards a properly sized strap with a standard buckle.

Very nifty.
Looking for an after market strap for wife's Dumont, you're the strap guy, any suggestions?
The end links make it almost impossible to source after market, but any suggestions greatly appreciated Mark

Any 17mm width strap will work, just needs to be not padded and a thin 2-3mm strap. It’s not fitted to the case as such, but looks almost fitted.

Thanks again. Just checked, Dumont has a 18mm lug width Image
