CW strap returns

Post by Vaj666 »

Hi do people know if CW take returns on their straps?
I received one yesterday and I am not happy with the quality for the £40 they charged.

I would suggest you return it - provided it is still in the condition in which you received it - unworn, with protective wrapping still attached and not having been fitted to a watch.

I'm surprised you don't think it's worth the money though. I've always thought CW straps offer good quality for the money...

Hi, it's the c60 SXKO with the orange stitching.
Don't get me wrong it's a nice strap but thought £40 was a bit steep for something that' doesn't feel substantial.
Weston straps have a carbon fibre black strap with orange stitching for £14-95 and a perforated rally strap with orange detailing for £8-95.
The CW is nice with the CW branded on the clasp though.

I had one of those straps. Personally, I thought it was good quality, but far too shiny for a diver watch.

Do take into account that the CWL C60 strap, and others i.e. the C40, has the spring bar end custom fitted for the case. This means the strap is contoured to your wrist and the case will sit more comfortably on your wrist.

This feature alone IMHO makes it worth the £40.

I have the black cordovan, with red stitching, from Weston Watch straps that you mention for my C40.

Its a good strap and well priced, particularly with their 15% off for forum members at present, but my C40 does move about a bit; which it doesn't on the CWL strap.

Yes, upon reflection I shall keep the CW strap due to the custom end fitting curve shape, and the fact that it is CW.
Thanks guys for the pep talk.

Good move, but why not buy 'something for the weekend?' from Weston Watch Straps or C60s look good on a NATO, which is not that expensive.

Excellent value @ £40 - particularly as it is curved to fit the watch.

Try buying a Hirsch strap + a deployment clasp - at least double the cost.
