CW diver 300 blue strap suggestions please
Bigger one (42mm?)
Looking for strap suggestions, this watch has taken the submariner off my radar.
Fantastic quality and value.
Totally love it.

Fkm rubber of some sort, or sailcloth.
I think they look better than leather with divers.

Everyone has their own favourite. Mine would be a rubber strap on a diver. I have an excellent one from Watchgecko with curved ends which fits my C60 perfectly. They sell blue ones. Here is a link: https://www.watchgecko.com/products/wat ... hed-buckle

Interesting and tempting, but which C60 please, as there are variations on the lug fit.GTC854 wrote:Everyone has their own favourite. Mine would be a rubber strap on a diver. Don’t think Gordon is talking about the 300 Pro: https://www.christopherwardforum.com/g ... ml#p927633
But I’d be very curious to know if the cases are close enough in dimension for the strap to be compatible with both.

Well spotted! That is indeed the one! I cannot remember the Mk number but it is 5yrs old. So unless I am mistaken it is two variants behind the Pro. The strap took a little effort to fit and required curved springbars. The top and bottom edges of the strap are quite soft and I imagine they would fit a range of watches. I am currently building up courage to attempt to fit the strap to my 44mm Superocean. I do not have high levels of dexterity!Rezn8r wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 5:03 pm Don’t think Gordon is talking about the 300 Pro: https://www.christopherwardforum.com/g ... ml#p927633

Not sure if any of it will help in your own journey, but for what it's worth, on my 40mm 300 Pro, I have:
Strap Tailor navy FKM rubber: Crown & Buckle premium Nato: YWS single-pass nylon: CWC XL:
- the CW bracelet, which I love
- the CW blue & orange hybrid strap, which I haven't worn much -- it's a bit too much orange and too overtly sporty for me; I might have liked the straight blue, as the strap is certainly good quality, but I don't think I want to pay to find out
- a Strap Tailor navy FKM strap, which is excellent and I wear it happily, though the shade of blue isn't an ideal match for the watch (I think the same can be said for the CW blue straps, judging from the one I have)
- a Strap Habit two-piece blue nylon with hook & loop closure, which looks OK but it's the first time I've had a strap with hook & loop since I was a child and I don't trust it after using it a bit -- at least it was a cheap experiment
- a Crown & Buckle navy 'premium Nato' strap, which is the best colour match I've seen for the watch
- a blue & grey ribbed single pass nylon strap in blue and grey from Yorkshire Watch Straps on Etsy, which is my favourite non-metal visual match for the watch; a watch will sometimes slide off a well-used single pass strap when it's not on the wrist, though, so I take the navy Nato on boats if I'm getting changed into diving gear along with...
- a CWC 15" XL black nylon strap, which doesn't look much good, but is the only way I have to strap a watch with a 20mm lug width over a dry suit or 7mm wetsuit sleeve and 5mm diving glove combo

...and I pulled the trigger on the straight blue hybrid from CW after looking at it again, even though I couldn't find two more straps I wanted to make up the three for the deal...
