C65 Darthmouth Gen 1 half link

Post by ThomasC65 »

Hi all!
I'm new to this forum.
Recently aqcuired a c65 manual mind and a c65 dartmouth (didn't plan on getting both, but sometimes a deal comes along and you gotta do what you gotta do....
The dartmouth (gen 1) has the bracelet, and despite the micro adjust I can't get it to fit quite right. Ideally I would like to get a half link, as the bracelet is currently a bit too tight with the micro-adjust fully out, and was too loose with the micro-adjust fully in and an extra link.
Do any of you know if there's any half links around, and how I could get one?
I e-mailed CW and they said the bracelet is sadly out of production...

Thanks for your help!

Thomas

@ThomasC65 - Welcome to the Forum, Thomas.

As CW has said, the bracelet for the C65 Trident Diver / C65 Dartmouth Series 1 is now out of production and, sadly to say, when it was in production it was not available with half links.

These were introduced with the upgraded bracelet currently used for the C65 MOD Series 2 models.

That isn't exactly true Guy. They were never sold with half links but for a short time CW had half links for the C65 series. I have half links for my Dartmouth and Super Compressor. I have already PM'd the OP as I have a few extras.

EDIT to add: I got half links for my C60 Pro 600 too.

In the process I have a bunch of half links that I have no idea what they go to. We went through 4 rounds before I got the correct C60 links.

So, I had to refresh my memory a bit on the half links I received.

I have two sets of half links. Dimension wise they are identical except for the pins.

The ones that fit the C65 (pre-Aquitaine), C60 Pro 600, and Super Compressor have a 1.0 mm pin.

The ones that won't fit have a 1.1 mm pin. The pin will not fit the drilled hole in the link. I bent a couple of pins trying on my initial batch. I am not sure if they were meant to fit and they got the pin wrong or if they fit a different bracelet altogether.

The other dimensions of the link are identical between the two.

The half-link rkovars sent me arrived a day ago, and I just installed it. It worked like a charm! The micro-adjust is suddenly useful and I can wear my dartmouth comfortably

I am glad to have found this forum, and will be sure to pass on the kind gesture in the future!
