C60 Trident MK2 GMT Bracelet - Different?

Post by rbw0471 »

I recently picked up a C60 Trident MK2 GMT on alligator. As I prefer bracelets I picked up a C60 PRO 600 bracelet on eBay thinking it would fit, sadly it doesn't!

Looking at the watch cases the GMT is clearer deeper, hence the bracelet not fitting.

Can anyone tell me what bracelet would fit please?

^^^^ Was the "C60 PRO 600" bracelet that you picked up for the Mk2 or Mk3 C60?

Simple way to tell; the Mk2 has polished centre links about the same width as the outer sections of the link; the Mk3 bracelet, has wider centre links (than the outer part), is all brushed and, crucially, has quick release springbars.

Notwithstanding the above, these days you are able buy a Mk3 style bracelet that is compatible with the Mk2 (and Mk1) C60 Tridents from CW as here

I hope this helps.

Evening Guy

Thanks for replying, I think it’s a MK 2, I have attached some pics of the bracelet. The original clasp had broken so the seller had added a new one from CW.

No spring bars came with it. I’ll have a look at whether it’s brushed when I get home.

I saw the one you attached, but am concerned that won’t fit either lol. Very little info on the GMT’s sadly.

According to the archive the MK2 cases for both the GMT and Automatic are identical. 43mm diameter, 51.4 lug to lug and 13.7 thick. It could be that the seller had a MK1 and thought it was a MK2? The dimensions on the MK1 were 42 diameter, 50.5 Lug to lug and 13 thick. If I remember correctly the MK2 will fit the MK1 but the MK1 won't fit the MK2. I think it has to do with the design of the end links themselves. I may be misremembering however :?

Rich has got this spot on, especially the " If I remember correctly the MK2 will fit the MK1 but the MK1 won't fit the MK2." - hence my assertion that the current C60 Trident Mk2 Bracelet - 43mm will also fit the earlier C60 Trident Mk1.

@rbw0471 - looking at your photos, in particular the style of the 'old' deployant clasp with Cw embossed into it, I'm suspicious that you have actually got a C60 Trident Mk1 bracelet.

Are you able to post a photo or two of your GMT watch, and also an underneath view the end links of the bracelet; which I could then try to compare with known C60 Trident Mk1 and Mk2 bracelets that I have?

Gents

Thanks for taking the time to reply, much appreciated.

@Bahnstormer_vRS i think you are right, I have returned the strap to the eBay seller as I think it has been incorrectly described.

The good news is I took your advice and bought a new strap from CW which fits beautifully.

Pic below 😁
