C60 Khaki, thoughts on a strap please (update)
C60 Khaki, thoughts on a strap please (update)
I have this waiting for me to collect from No.1.
I'm keen to have a bit of fun with an alternative leather strap to CWL and I'm drawn to a Toshi http://www.toshi-straps.co.uk/index.html but which one would suit best. I've been flicking from one strap to another and just can't make up my mind. I would be very grateful any of your thoughts?
Thanks

You kept that one quiet Richard! Like your style.
Despite my horror at all things NATO, that has to be one of the few that looks pretty good on the ol' canvas.
The great thing about the khaki is that it seems to go with so many strap shades. These look great with various colours of leather and stitching. (I think that Guy has tried a few on his khaki) Despite the adage about divers on leather, I think that the khaki bucks this trend!
Both the Toshi and Steveo gallery will give you a wealth of info!
Looking forward to seeing the journey.

Guy is the man to talk to as he has tried loads on his Khaki with great results.

Both Nick and Ferg are right here the C60 khaki does look good on NATO straps . But Guy is probably the best man to answer this one as far has straps go .

I like the look and texture of this saddle one:
But really, maybe all of them would go well with the khaki!

Re: C60 Khaki, thoughts on a strap please
This was a spur of the moment purchase prompted by the recent extended 24 hour 15% off sale. I'm also not that keen on a NATO but because I have a spare new CWL C60 strap it made sense to go for a NATO. I haven't picked it up yet because I have my C60 GMT & C8 Pilot in for repair and will collect all three at the same time. I'm not that impressed with the C60 leather straps hence the wish to have some fun looking for an alternative. I think that the C60 Khaki is just about the only diver that I've seen that IMO can get away with a leather strap. I guess I'm looking for a military look. I'm drawn to the Toshi chocalate leather strap with olive drab stitching and a polished screw bar Pre-V buckle. I think the combo might work but I will only know when I have the watch in hand. Should this work I will consider doing the same to my C60 GMT.smegwina wrote:You kept that one quiet Richard! Like your style.

I rather fancy Le Vintage with the Khaki, but so many of them would work well.
Have you looked at Steve-o-straps?
The black olive might go nicely http://www.steveostraps.com/straps-2/classic
Enjoy, whichever strap you choose

Thanks Robin, indeed the khaki bezel seems to go with lots of combinations of colour in both the leather and stitching.Robin CB wrote:I rather fancy Le Vintage with the Khaki, but so many of them would work well.

Just seen this and, why yes, I have tried a multitude of straps on my C60 Khaki.
Full gallery will follow tomorrow, but currently have it on an eBay £25 shark mesh

Personally I think the watch looks good on all of them . It just goes to show how versatile these watches are .
