Bond watch colours

Post by missF »

Is this Tide strap done in any sort of Bond colours?? I have one arriving from CW today and suddenly had the feeling it might be a Bond strap. To be clear- I don’t want it if it’s a Bond strap

I’ve seen that color combination labeled a Bond strap. It’s a pretty classic strap, regardless of the label.

If I hear the term for any watch "on a bond nato" thats the only strap I picture.
I like the look of them on many watches purely for the colour combo and how they can completely chabge the look of almost any colour watch.

007 was technically female in the last one too.....!

Don’t forget that Bond only wore what he was told to wear by other people, in his case Q. He didn’t think for himself and choose something different.

The same can be said for the astronauts who wore speedmasters on the Apollo space missions.

What this says about Omega and Omega owners who can say…….

(Yes I have wrote this firmly with my tongue in cheek)

In your case Lindsey just say you chose it yourself because it was what you wanted to wear.

It looks similar to me, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to consider your Atoll is sporting a bond strap. It's just sporting a well matched strap. I thought it was a NATO to be honest, but I wouldn't have instantly thought "Ah, Miss Bond, we've been expecting you".

I bought a couple of NATOs at the watch it watch fair. WIAA had rebranded and the ones I bought may well have been Bond NATOs, but that didn't occur to me at the time. I wished I'd bought more in retrospect, as I bought one 20mm and one 22mm, and I liked them even more than I expected when I put them on.

  unfortunately the last Bond movie I saw was ages ago. And while I’m in confession mode - recently on the forum there was a spate of people talking about NTTD... I thought it was another fancy watchy term that I didn’t know about, but I didn’t ask because I was too embarrassed

Don’t forget George Lazenby in full kilt! On Her Majesty’s Secret Service doesn’t get the attention and credit it deserves.
