Aftermarket straps

Post by Psychedelicwarlord »

After purchasing a C60 Trident Pro 300 on an orange rubber strap, I decided that it would benefit from an additional colour strap to switch the mood at times. I looked at the CW straps but what I noticed from the orange one was that it was a little too long for average/smaller sized wrists and, when looking at the watch face, you could see the end of the strap poking out from the underside of the wrist. This spoils the aesthetics a little. A few people on the CW afficionados facebook site had recommended Barton silicone elite straps and therefore I decided to order one. Now to the point of this post - the Barton strap looks good. It is no better than the CW straps, except for in one major respect. The Barton straps are supplied with 2 lengths of one side of the strap. This is perfect as the smaller length fits well, without excess length poking out when viewing the face. Could CW not consider supplying their non-bracelet straps with 2 lengths also?

It's a good point - especially if CW are going further down the route of offering smaller watches (I think I heard someone say that the straps that come with the 36mm Twelve are shorter though!).

If you're looking for more then I'm sure watchobsession.co.uk sell straps with shorter lengths too, and they've got a great selection - CNS Watch Bands definitely have shorter options too :)

They have started to offer the leather straps in two sizes. Seems like they could do the same thing with the rubber straps.

@Psychedelicwarlord I have a very small wrist and I’m constantly looking for good strap options. I have more than a dozen Barton bands for that reason.

I’ve also had luck with some short straps at Strapsco. I also bought a couple MN style straps from Erika’s Originals because you can customize your length. And I have a couple leather straps on order from Martu which you can specify a length as well. The options are out there!

As mentioned above, CW released short versions of their leather straps about a year ago, and I agree it would be nice if they followed suit with the rest of their straps!
