To my eye the brown works better.

Nice looking strap BTW, what is it?

Too many black faced watches on brown straps in here tonight.

Never ever ever. No exceptions.

Of the two the Orange one as it tones with the Orange markers on the dial. Whereas the Brown strap clashes with the markers.

However an Orange strap with black stitches would be better IMHO, as the stitches will tone with the black face.

Is the first one actually orange? Can't be sure, but it is the one that looks the best to my eye.

If you could find a black one with orange stitching I might think it would work even better :-)

i don't know if i would truly call it orange, not in the sense that the orange C60 strap is orange, but i think it does a much better job of meshing with the indices on the dial.
the "g" is for Greg...

OK, a very dumb question but then I'm new so I can hopefully get away with it! Is that the same watch with optional straps in which case is the changing of the straps something you can do yourself?

I ordered my C60 Trident with a black leather strap but if it's possible to change the strap to the bracelet style myself then I can dress it up or down very easily.

It is possible to change the straps yourself. Some are simpler than others and, like most things, it becomes easier with practice and the proper tools.

The tools are not complicated.. the most important thing is a spring-bar tool. Get a decent one for about £12 and the world of straps is your oyster. :)
