A strap for my Steinhart Marine Chrono...

Post by redd »

I'm not a huge fan of the blue strap that came with the watch, the blue of the strap and face just don't work for me:

So I'm looking for recommendations for a new one to go with the petrol blue face and pale green markers(the above photo shows the face colour better than these):

All suggestions, very welcome.

Going out on a limb here and recommending a Toshi on "Saddle" leather.

To my mind, the aged look of the leather goes well with the metal of the bezel.

Pretty much my first choice 'if' I had £80 spare. I have 3 Toshi's, but with a holiday to pay for soon second hand is the only way of getting another for this.

Excellent choice btw - now get a £30 option :D

I have to say I really like the original strap, but if you must change it, I'd also consider going with a rich brown strap. Maybe Steinhart have one?

Edit, in fact, how about number 1 on this picture? ;)

Happened to have a Steinhart brown pilots strap in the drawer, as the result of a failed experiment for my Ball Fireman II. I was really thinking of a much lighter brown like Toshi's saddle and am very pleasantly surprised with that - thank you.

I lay my 24mm fudge brown Toshi on top as well and do think the darker brown works....

Thanks for the C&B link as well Mr R, good prices and choice. I like a few and this one in particular:

Please keep the suggestions coming.

Very nice straps, Richard. Number 3 wouldn't be 22mm that might just fit a C8 MkI by any chance....
