The forums denizens are quite a resourceful bunch. If you share your location with us, someone on here may be able to recommend a reliable independent Rolex service center. Whatever you do, do not let anyone replace that dial. Personally, I think it's perfect the way it is, and wouldn't replace anything or polish the case or bracelet. It would be like erasing history.
Lavaine, you hit the nail right on the head and I feel 100 % as you do. History and character should never be washed away! Oh and for reference I am located in New Jersey USA, right out side Philadelphia Pa.

scooter Yes to be honest we were partners in crime as they say. I was truly blessed to know him as well as I did. Fond fond memories of my childhood. I miss him dearly to this day.

A great collection the cw is a nice acquisition and fits your collection. The sub has a nice history. it's always nice when the sentimental value means more than the it's true value especially with such an icon .

They won't be the quickest or the cheapest, but RGM is located in Mount Joy. They definitely know luxury watches.

Lavaine thank you for the information I shall look them up.

Alex r yes you are 100% right the sentimental value I have for the watch is to me priceless and truthfully cannot be replaced. I am truly blessed to have strong family ties, and the memories that go along with it.

A great collection indeed.
The Rolex is a brilliant patina and looks so 'right'.
The C4 fits in nicely to your collection too.

Thank you I do love that worn look too. And thank you I thought the C4 would fit in there to. Now it's time to look at some different styles. I admit though I'm drawn to the Trident models lately!

I haven't forgotten about the box and paper work, I think it's at my mothers house, I know I have it all just tracking it down seems to be an issue as of late.

Thanks for looking!
Very much liking your "starter" collection. I think there are many on here who would be happy to see this as the culmination of their collecting!
And so nice to have a watch that is not only fantastic in its own right but also carries such deep meaning for you.
Many thanks for sharing.
