I like jackets, almost as much as I like watches. I did however struggle to find a formal shirt or jacket pic for all of the watches.

Please share what stunning dark (cognac coloured) strap that's on the DJ above?? That looks stunning that watch!!
Thanks Lance. The strap is a Hirsch Regent. The pattern of the scales being from a different part of the hide to the more usually seen large scales.

As a group a superb collection on their own without your other lovely watches Neil and each one could easily be a great one watch for everything candidate. Whenever I see your (my) old zblue I still think it is a cracking looking watch if slightly larger and heavier than ideal for me. Also in an ideal world I would swap the GS for the cherry blossom spring heritage model that I so like but simply cant buy. Just out of interest what is it that you thinks makes the 5 digit datejust more refined than current models like mine?

I am also in for a sealander  . the elite and if it is as good as I think it will be there will be more of my stuff going up for sale!

Whilst I certainly don’t subscribe to all this “one watch” nonsense, this is certainly one of my favourite watches and would definitely stay, if my collection was reduced to say three to seven (can’t bring myself to say reduced to three!). If I had to pick one watch to wear for say six months, during which time that was the only watch I could wear, this is the one that I would pick.

...

Milgauss Z-Blue 116400GV:
A forum friend and I each bought one of these in the same month, just over six years ago. Having tried on the other variants, it was this one with the mix of blue, orange and green that struck a cord. There have been times over the years, when I have thought about selling it, but it makes me smile every time that I wear it.
What a great collection! Having had to make the decision of one watch to wear for six months (it was a bl**dy hard decision, and I ended up bringing two C6s which may sound strange but was almost the perfect call for me) I'd probably agree with you on that choice. The 114270 is a lovely watch and very versatile.

I'll be honest and say that Rolex as a brand don't really do any models I would like to own - except the Milgauss which is a solid entry on my very short grail list and I can totally see why you love it. One day I'd love one in my collection!

Normally I’d be drawn to the Explorer, but that black Rolex looks fantastic. Congrats on the collection

I think that Rolex will likely discontinue the current Milgauss models sooner, rather than later. No idea whether any new model will end up looking like the older vintage models, although Rolex tend not to look backwards in their designs.

I think from reading your posts that I have worked out where you have been whilst away. Restricting yourself to a couple of watches, was probably a fair trade for the experience. :)

Paul I did used to think the same regarding the Z-blue, however it’s now one of the things that attracts me to it.

As to the DJ it’s probably because I have a 5 digit, rather than a 6.

I think there is also the point that the profile of the case is slightly different to the 6 digit models that followed. Also the weight on the bracelet is only 90g. The main difference though to me, if comparing directly with an equivalent white dial baton indices 116200, is the slimmer non lumed indices, which I think turn it a bit more dressy.
