Golfjunky SOTC Sept 23

Post by golfjunky »

So I’ve finally got round to doing a pick.

I started with the Omega Seamaster chrono in Oct 2009. Lots have come and gone in that time but I can’t really see any of these going.

Some lovely watches there Greg.

Speedy is gorgeous and the Bond SMP but the SMP Chronograph is without doubt my favourite of all your watches.

Lovely collection, Greg. As well as the Speedmaster I really like the GS and the Sportsman.

Wonderful collection. That Rainbow G-Shock makes me smile every time I see it.

Nice collection Greg, I’d not picked up on this before but I can help noticing a lack of bracelets. I assume you just prefer a strap on most of them?

Love that rainbow indices on the white Gshock. I have both the grey and white casioak as well. And weirdly the same moonswatch. Great set of Omegas you have. Trying to figure out what that watch is in the middle with the beige strap.

I think I just don’t really like omegas - until I see your speedy moonphase and the ‘brown bond one’. I love the rest of the collection too - like very carefully chosen jewels

Very classy collection. I can’t really say there are any I wouldn’t be happy wearing. Even G shocks which I really normally dislike, yours are quite fine. The mystery watch is the Azur which I recall not a lot was known about, unless you have found out more info on this subsequently.

Thanks all. yes a big lack of bracelets, I love the look of them but only on other people. I have bracelets for the seamaster chrono and moonphase but just don’t like them on me. The lightness of the breitling Ti bracelet seems ok with me. I have not done anymore digging on the Azur, it’s quite delicate so does get baby’d.
The rainbow Casioak also now only comes out for special occasions because the white case does mark easily.
As mentioned can’t see any going and now have very few targets in my current price range.

Lovely collection Greg - the highlights for me (in a pile of winners!) would be the Seamaster NTTD, grey G-Shock, that wonderful King(?) Seiko and, of course, the Speedy!

Absolutely fantastic collection, thanks for sharing!

Aqua Terra being a brand in its own right now eh?

@golfjunky I think I'd be asking you to bring over the Breitling cos it's a brand I really know not very much about plus that "brown bond one" 'cos it's a watch which serially puts temptation right in my path but I have to swerve past the local AD but handling someone else's watch would be largely temptation-free.
C60 MKI, MKII, MKIII: "some",
C6 & C60 Kingfishers,
C600 Tritechs,
C63 "some",
C65 "some",
C4, C40, C8, C9, C3, C5, C20 & 23FLE
Some other brands
